GENERAL INFORMATION


(Note: Dragon Light Photography can provide a customized workshop for your group for any specified workshop date and duration to the places in China/Vietnam/Nepal that you desired if your group has enough participants. Please contact our Workshop leader, Henry Ng for this case).

Workshop fee:
Each workshop/tour priced at US$ 4,280.00 per person based on double occupancy (US $750.00 extra for single supplement). Price may subject to adjustment in case of significant currency fluctuations or rate increase by providers. (Note: Dragon Light Photography will try its best to find a roommate for you if you do not have one. In the case that we do not able to find you a room-mate, you would have to pay the single supplement fee or you can have an option to withdraw with full refund including your deposit). 
Not included: International Flight from US to Vietnam and return; visa for Vietnam; excess baggage charges; personal medical or travel insurance; any personal expenses, such as room service, laundry, beverages not included with itinerary, film development, and individual tips. (Note: : round trip flight from US to Vietnami is approximately US$900.00 to US$1,100.00 range depending on the airline and the time of the year when making flight reservation. Dragon Light Photography can help you to reserve the Flight to Vietnam and Visa application if needed)

Others:
You will receive a $50 discount on your next Dragon Light Photography Workshop/ tour. If a new client joins a Workshop due to your recommendation, you will receive a $50 discount on your next Dragon Light Photography Workshop (limited one $50.00 discount for each tour. However, the remaining discounts can be carried over to future tours)

Health and Type of travel: The majority of the tours are not strenuous and anyone who is reasonable fit should be able to take part in most of the activities. You may experience general fatigue due to the long flights and change in time zones. You will need to be sufficiently agile to climb in and out of the tour bus and should be able to carry and manage your own equipments. The travel on Workshop tours will be done in small tour bus or vans. Most of the tours will be easy walking and hiking and photography from short distances from the Workshop tour bus. Some places may require a longer walk but on easy terrain. At Sapa Mountain, it will require a longer hike to the mountain.

You should also be aware that medical services or facilities might not be readily available during all or part of the trip. This could include emergency medical care, presence of physicians, or adequate medication.

Smoking: Workshop participants are not allowed to smoke in or near vehicles, hotel room, during instructional sessions, during group meals or at other times when in close quarters with other group participants.

Deposits and Payments: To register for the Workshop, please send a deposit of US $500 for the Workshop. Deposit may be made by check. Full payment for the Workshop in US Dollars is due 120 DAYS prior to the start date of the Workshop.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Refunds are made according to the following schedule: If cancellation is made more than 120 days before the Workshop date, the deposit less $100 will be refunded. If cancellation is made between 90 and 120 days before the Workshop date, the deposit is not refundable, but any payments made covering the balance of the trip will be refunded. If cancellation is made fewer that 90 days before the Workshop date, no refund will be made unless we can find a replacement. We strongly urge you to purchase some form of Trip Insurance. This is especially important if you have unusual medical problems.
Dragon Light Photography reserves the right to cancel the workshop if there is insufficient number of workshop participants or situation beyond the control of Dragon Light Photography. If a workshop has to be cancelled by Dragon Light Photography, a full refund will be provided to each participant.

 
LUGGAGE: PLEASE BRING ONLY ONE MEDIUM-SIZED SUITCASE OR BAG, NOT TO EXCEED 50 LBS.

Camera gear should be of a size that can be carried with you in the van without inconvenience to others.

INSURANCE:
 Each participant must be covered by medical insurance that is valid overseas. We strongly urge you to evaluate your risk and to take out insurance on your trip. It is vital for you to realize that if you experience a delay or find it necessary to cancel or cut short your trip for any reason, you will lost part or the entire sum you have invested in it (see the sections “Deposits and Payments” and “CANCELLATION POLICY”)

RESPONSIBILITY:
Dragon Light Photography and its employees will make every effort to provide Workshop participants with safe and enjoyable seminars. Dragon Light Photography will not be held liable for events beyond its control such as, but not limited to problems with connecting travel, delay, baggage loss before, during, or after the Workshop, damage to, loss or theft of photographic equipment, or mechanical failure, etc. Dragon Light Photography will not be held responsible for careless actions or omissions of suppliers of motel or hotel accommodations or meals which result in loss, delay, damage, illness, or injury.
       The Workshop is not without risk and Dragon Light Photography or its employees will not be held liable for any injury, medical emergency, or death arising from the normal conduct of a Workshop. These conditions include, but are not limited to sprained ankles, broken bones, cuts and bruises, heart attacks etc. Reasonable changes in the workshop schedule may be made where deemed necessary for comfort and well being of the workshop participants. The right is reserved to substitute hotels, alter the itinerary and reverse the order of places to be visited. Dragon Light Photography will keep you informed of necessary changes in timely fashion. Participants must be willing to be responsible for their actions and accept these and other risks inherent with participating in photographic Workshops. On placing a deposit with a Dragon Light Photography Tour & Workshop, the depositor therefore agrees to be bound by the above terms and conditions.



MISCELLANEOUS: Workshop participants are encouraged to bring some of their work for evaluation by the Workshop Leaders.  Overnight processing of slides & films will be available near the end of the Workshop in Shanghai.
